Headed to uni for the first time today and the Delegación to choose my classes, but lo and behold! It wasn't even the right place (as I'd been led to believe!), so that was ultimately fruitless, BUT I did get chatting to 3 British girls outside of the (wrong!) room, so as one door closes...!!! :p
Little bit about the University of Oviedo itself:
Was officially founded on the 21st September 1608 according to the will of Don Fernando Valdés Salas (Archbishop of Oviedo, and Inquisitor General ['Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition'!!! :p]), and is spread over 5 campuses throughout Asturias, 3 of which are in Oviedo (Campus del Milán [my camous!!! :p], El Cristo, and Llamaquique), 1 in Gijón, and another in Mieres. Campus ain't that big (tiny compared to Glasgow--and the library's shit! :p), but it's nice enough. I'm spread over the 4 main buildings, studying Civilización Francesa, (French), Portuguese, and Lengua Romanica III, and Español de América. Quite a good little mix I think...!!! :p
