Flat hunting is a frustrating but ultimately necessary activity!!!
Went to see a flat just behind Campus, which was nice enough--good size--but lo and behold! Some f**king girl shows up at the same time, declares SHE wants it--even though I said I did first--and, seeing as neither of us would budge, we had to resort to that tried and tested method of tossing a coin! I took heads, and lo and behold! I f**king lost! F**king bitch!! Didn't even really like the place all THAT much, but the competitiveness came out in me!! Cow!! BUT I let it go, supposing it just wasn't meant to be, and off I went to continue looking!!!
Sure enough though, hope was just around the corner...!!!
Headed to a little café (the Vera Cruz) to drown my sorrows in hot chocolate (and they have real, proper, SOUP-like hot chocolate here!! :p), and just happened to say to the women who owned it that I was looking for somewhere to live. She said--funnily enough--she had a room free in her flat, and--before you know it--her friend's driving me over to look at it!! Spotless flat (very homely), and the room was cute. Had qualms about living with a middle-ages woman (!), but seeing as I was slightly desperate (and to set my aunt's mind at rest!), I just decided to take it! Funny how these things happen, isn't it??! :p
