New Abode!!!

Wednesday, 2nd April

Moved all my stuff over to the new flat (took about 3 trips!), Valerie giving me a hand on the last stretch, and so here I am at Avenida de Pando, 25, 4a, Oviedo, España!!! :D Chloe and Cameron came over, and Val treated us to pasta in a sauce, with ham, mushrooms, and red peppers!! Helen, Val and I then whiled the night away looking at the world map on my wall lol!! Good fun, and a good start in my new home!! :)

New Month...

Tuesday, 1st April

Went to see the landlady (Dolores) of the new flat, who said I could move in whenever I wanted, so tomorrow it is!! :D I then had a slice of tortilla with Val in the wee uni café, and it was back there later on to see Cameron before evening class (every week day for over a month! Nearly finished...!!!). It was then off to the Asturianu, and then to spend my last night in my old flat--Cameron spending it with me funnily enough seeing as he couldn't be bothered going home! :p

New Beginnings!

Monday, 31st March

Decided to take the room at Helen and Val's, but first I had to tell Esther...!!! Got up the courage to do it though, and she was fine about it! Very understanding, saying that I was here to make friends and experience life as an ERASMUS student and that if I wasn't completely happy where I was, I wasn't happy... Phew!! HATED the thought of offending her, but at the end of the day, I wasn't completely happy, so! :)

We then made our way to Burak's for a little film night! :) Good crowd of us, and we watched Closer...one of the weirdest pieces of shit I've ever seen! What the f**k was it about?! The point?! Oh well! At least I picked up some useful Spanish from it! (Me corro...Que te jodan...!!!). Had nibbles and a chat, and then I was homeward bound to spent one of my last night's at Avenida del Mar, 33, 7o DCHA!!!

Sunday, 30th March

Helen, Kathy, Cameron, and I went out for the very Spanish chocolate y churros (i.e. hot chocolate, and long, thin FATTENING Spanish doughnuts!), apparently the perfect way to end a night on the tiles...Sounds like one of the worst to me!! :s I then (on a whim!) popped over to Helen's to get a look at her spare room 'cos I wanted to move out of where I was!! As I said RIGHT at the beginning, I had such qualms about living with a middle-aged woman (no offence to them!), and I had no problems there: could do what I wanted, but 1) I felt sooo far away from everyone else and 2) I was always alone!!! So I saw the room: smaller than the one I was in, but it had lots of storage space, and I don't take up that much room! Plus I'd've have Helen and Val for company (gonna speak shit-loads of Spanish! :p), so it got me thinking...!!!

Saturday, 29th March

Had spent the night at Cameron's ('cos I just didn't wanna go home!), and I met Jerad in the afternoon to go to Parque de Invierno, a large park to the south of Oviedo. Nice place, but not a park in the formal, laid-out sense: more like a big field! Anyway, had ice-cream, chocolates, and biscuits, and we enjoyed the sunshine! :)

Headed to Kathy's later on that night to watch a film! Wanted to rent Stardust, but the rental store was all out, so we got Beauty and the Beast instead!!! :D Hadn't seen that film IN YEARS, so I was delighted lol!! :p So me, Kathy, Helen, Cameron, Kate, and Andrew settled down to watch it, munching on pizza and marshmallows, and then the three chicos (i.e. me, Cameron, and Andrew) left at around midnight, heading to the Asturianu for a bit! :)

Friday Night!

Friday, 28th March

Headed to La Tagliatella for pizza with Jerad, went to Café Titanic for a little bit, and then it was off to Dila and Bengü's, for cake and conversation! :p

After that, we met Cameron and Kate at the Cathedral, and then it was off to Santa Sebe, Oviedo's gay club lol! Wasn't much to be honest: not much of a crowd, and the music was kind of crappy, but I danced regardless, thinking we'd no doubt be back lol!! :p

Thursday, 27th March

Had lunch with Cameron, Chloe and Val in the Café Milan--near campus--where I'd never been before (nyah!), and then off some of us went later on to Morgana bar to try our hand at salsa dancing lol! Quite confusing, but I was catching on, and it was good fun!! :p Also tried out hip-hop lessons with Kate, and that I WAS (surprisingly! :p) better at!! :p
